I found some history or rumor about the iPhone.
There may not be anyone who is as sick of the rumored, impending Apple mobile phone release than the writers here on Infinite Loop. Regardless, we trudge, doing our duty, reporting most sensical rumors and even some of the funnier, nonsensical ones. Some days it seems that these iPhone rumors have been circulating the "Internets" since the beginning of time. Well, thanks to this article, we can now safely say that they have, or at least since 1999, which is close to the beginning of time for some of us.
The article entails the saga that is the iPhone rumor-mill from the beginning, which they claim to way back in the year of nineteen-hundred and ninety-nine. We know you are curious, so we will tell you that 1999 is the year Apple registered iPhone.org and the rest has been a horrible, horrible downhill journey ever since.
The list just goes to show how rumors evolve over time, and especially with this one that has been going on for years, it's kind of funny now to read some of the older theories about the iPhone. One thing to note is that changes in the iPhone rumors have been occurring much more frequently lately. The list is really rather disgustingly up to date, and it ends with the much-rumored iPhone's release. It's a decent read, but please make it stop!
